FUN and FREE - Redland Easter Family Festival!

What a fabulous event!  The 2016 Redlands Easter Family Festival was an outstanding success with about 20,000 people enjoying the hospitality provided by more than 400 volunteers and entertainers.   Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the volunteers who showed a Christian servant's attitude to the thousands of visitors.  The committee would also like to thank the Redland City Council as the major sponsor of the Festival - along with many corporate sponsors  and local churches who made the festival possible by their generous donations.

And it is on again this year - we are looking forward to celebrating Easter at the Cleveland Showgrounds on Monday17 April 2017.

THIS EASTER MONDAY 17 April 2017 from 10am to 3pm we are showcasing REDLANDS as A CARING COMMUNITY. GOOD NEWS FOR REDLANDS CITY! And YES - we need you as a volunteer, in fact 500 people are needed, to show the love of Christ in Action! The Redlands Easter Family Festival was first held on the shores of Raby Bay Cleveland in 2000 and as the result of a vision by Pastor Glen Gray that churches should combine to offer a day of free celebration and Christian witness of the Easter message to the greater Redland City community.

It has grown each year since. so that it now takes over the Cleveland Showgrounds with a host of sideshow rides, entertainment acts, children's performers and wide range of kids activities, street theatre, free food and drinks and lots more. It attracts approx 15,000 people, making it one the largest annual events in the Redlands.

Redlands Easter Family Festival Inc. is an incorporated body governed by its Constitution. An Executive committee is elected at each Annual General Meeting to oversee the preparation of the following year's festival.

While the free food, rides and entertainment for all ages are popular draw cards, the festival is not just about hosting a free day out, it provides a unique venue for Churches to engage with the wider community, connecting with people at their point of need or interest and demonstrating a unity of Spirit and service, on a scale, not achieved through other ventures.
